Inspired by the Leo Fender’s later classic design, these basses have been built for working musicians. These instruments are powerful, versatile and give that ultra-tight trademark growl.

Built to order for my friend Jason Chandler, bass player for one of Australia’s premier tribute bands, the Australian Eagles Show. He wanted a versatile and stage-ready instrument which could cover the amazing breadth of The Eagles’ catalog, and which would withstand the rigours of frequent touring.
Body: reclaimed Silver Quandong
Neck: quarter-sawn Queensland Maple
Fretboard: Burdekin Plum, 34” scale
Finish: body finished in custom black burst hard gunstock oil, neck: linseed oil
Pickups: EMG MM5 TW Active pickups
Electronics: EMG BQC preamp with master tone
Controls: volume/volume stacked mid sweep/level, bass, treble, master tone
Bridge: Schaller 3D-5 in black
Tuners: Schaller BM, 3+2 configuration

CHERRY STINGER
Built for me (Mark) as a gigging instrument, this bass has been an absolute joy. Multiscale design for a huge B-string response, top-class electronics and a chambered body for an amazing light feel. Barks with that classic Stingray sound, but active electronics can sculpt things down to a warm and rich jazz tone and anything in between. I consider a master tone control to be an essential for live work - I like to set the EQ once at the beginning of the night to suit the gig, then ride the master tone to sculpt the sound for each song. A stunning White Cedar cap stained in classic cherry red lets the beuatiful woodgrain speak for itself.
